Circle of Caring
What will you leave for others to remember you by? You can leave a legacy to the Circle of Caring at the AIDS Service Foundation of Greater Kansas City that will not be immediately disbursed, but will be a continual remembrance for generations.
There are more than 5,700 individuals in Kansas City living with HIV and AIDS. They, and the families that love them, will need care for the remainder of their lives. The organizations that the AIDS Service Foundation serves, through its direct funding formula and annual Community Grants Awards, will continue to serve those individuals with dignity and respect.
Here are just some of the easy ways you can leave your legacy of caring:
- Prepare a will - to maintain control over the assets you wish to pass along, outline your desires in advance.
- Include a charitable bequest in your will - charities like the AIDS Service Foundation can make sure your cash gift keeps giving.
- Put your retirement plan to work - using a change of beneficiary form, you can make the AIDS Service Foundation the beneficiary of your IRA or 401(k).
- Use your bank accounts - you can make the AIDS Service Foundation the beneficiary of your checking and savings accounts.
- Leverage your life insurance policy - name the AIDS Service Foundation as the beneficiary on all or a portion of your policy proceeds.
There's many more ways to leave your legacy. Please consider contacting your financial advisor or attorney soon to help you with your plans. Whatever you choose to do, your gift will ensure that you "keep on giving" long after you are gone.
If you decide to include the AIDS Service Foundation of Greater Kansas City in your plans, please let us know. We would be proud to include your name - or the name of a loved one - on our growing list of donors.
