We would like to thank our entire AIDS Walk family for all the love they shared for the 32nd annual – and first-ever virtual – AIDS WALK Kansas City!

COVID-19 could not stop us nor could rainy weather. Many of you joined online for the 9:30 a.m. program and more than 30 friends let us tag along virtually as they walked through their neighborhoods. We walked, we laughed, we persevered, we supported and, we made a difference.

Thanks to your efforts, we raised awareness and $350,000 to support organizations that provide shelter, medical care, and emergency services for the more than 5,700 men, women, and children in Kansas City affected by HIV/AIDS.

A special shout-out to our top five fundraising teams and the Top Five individual fundraisers! Our campaign would not have been the success it was without your leadership and fundraising prowess.

For more than 30 years, hundreds of thousands of Kansas Citians have gathered to walk, remember, donate, and support each other raising millions to combat HIV and AIDS. The funds raised at this event remain a vital lifeline for sustaining the prevention, care, and advocacy for individuals and families affected by the disease on both sides of the state line. Proceeds from the walk also benefit several HIV/AIDS service organizations and supply funds for our community grants.

AIDS Walk KC is the organization’s largest fundraiser each year, rain. There’s no shortage of teamwork, commodore, pride, laughter, and even a few tears. Show your support by becoming a team captain, walking with a team, creating an independent fundraising page, or by becoming a sponsor. Rain or shine, the walk must go on, and it does. Every dollar you donate makes a difference to someone in Kansas City!
